Nazareth Home foundation was established to advance the person-centered mission of Nazareth Home, which reflects the values of spirituality, compassion, dignity, quality, stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and innovation.
NHF awards the Sandra King Excellence and Education Fund Scholarship to deserving employees in the long-term care profession based on their academic achievements and commitment to quality care. The scholarship is offered to all Nazareth Home, Inc. full-time and regular part-time employees attending an approved college or institution and program. Individuals pursuing degrees other than nursing will be considered for scholarships.
Recipients are selected individually by the NHF Board, using specified criteria outlined in the application. Applicants are chosen based on their professional qualifications, commitment to the profession and letters of recommendation.
Sandra King Excellence and Education Fund Scholarship was established to encourage higher education of long-term healthcare professionals in Kentucky. An applicant must be a Nazareth Home, Inc. employee planning a career in long-term care. Qualifications include:
Scholarships will be paid directly to the educational institution to cover expenses incurred for tuition, books or course-related fees. The scholarship amount is $1,500 per semester, with a max of $3,000 per year.

Scholarship recipients will be notified of the NHF Board’s decision during the summer of 2021. Scholarship funds will be available immediately upon award. Recipients will be recognized by NHF in the Winter of 2021.
