Honored war veterans. Survivors of the Great Depression. Grandmothers who know a good joke and bake the perfect apple pie. The lives of our residents are rich in history and knowledge. As a Nazareth Home volunteer, you can meet and connect with these amazing elders.

We value our volunteers and know they are vital to our effort in providing person-centered care. We serve our elders with dignity and respect, and in our care for them, we see the love of Christ. As a volunteer, your strengths and commitment benefit the lives of residents while also enhancing your life!

What can I do as a volunteer?
We can help you find an opportunity that matches your skills, interests, and schedule. Some of the ways our volunteers help include:

Playing cards
Visits outdoors
Resident visits
Reading novels, poems or prayers
Crafts
Transporting our elders to activities
Assisting with the grounds
Holiday parties

Included on the volunteer application is a list of activity opportunities. Please be sure to choose all that interest you. Together, we will find the area where your efforts will be most helpful.

Because we are dedicated to the safety and contentment of our residents, all prospective volunteers must complete an application and participate in orientation before assignment. People 18 years and older must also complete a criminal background check.
