Thank you for learning more about volunteer opportunities at Nazareth Home! We value our volunteers and realize you are a vital part of our effort to provide person-centered care.
At Nazareth Home, we strive to serve our elders with dignity and respect. And, in our care for them, we actually see the love of Christ reflected back to us! In volunteering, your strengths and commitment not only benefit the lives of our residents, but will positively change your life, too!
Who can volunteer at Nazareth Home?
Currently, our volunteers include high school students, retirees, and employed adults and students assigned on weekends or in the early evening hours.
Because we are dedicated to the safety and contentment of our elders, all prospective volunteers must complete an application and participate in orientation before assignment. People 18 years and older must also complete a criminal background check.
What can I do as a volunteer?
Volunteer opportunities at Nazareth Home include one to one activities like playing cards, visits indoors and outdoors, reading novels, poems or prayers, crafts, transporting our seniors to activities, assisting with the grounds, Holiday parties and more! Included on the volunteer application is a list of activity opportunities. Please be sure to choose any/all that interest you. Together, we will find the area where your efforts will be most helpful.
