Unit Secretary - Monday - Friday position. 1p-9:30p  Certified Nurse Aide required. CMT preferred

  Responsible for providing quality administrative support.

  • Record medical and administrative information in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures. Completes audits and oversight of On Health Care Services

  • Answer telephones, page calls, deliver messages to residents, distribute mail, employees, etc. as necessary.

  • Greet visitors, residents, and employees, answering doorbell.

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the facility.

  • Assist in escorting residents to/from the dining room, activities, and social functions.

  • Medication Pass and treatments as needed , units may vary

  • Gather CNA Care Plans and Care Plan Books for the weekly Care Plans.

  • Assist with rounds when charge/desk nurse not available.

  • Ensures that MARS and TARS have pictures of residents.

  • Keeping files current and clean looking.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Participates in weekend rotation


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(Special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.)


  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent and CMT.

  • Prefer one year of administrative or medical record experience.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English in a legible and understandable manner.

  • Must be able to type and be familiar with computer.

  • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and the general public.

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
